To take as much value as you can from this free blog, we suggest you note down our main points. This is so you don’t walk away from this blog and forget this valuable information that can really change your life. Many people take in a lot of information but fail to put that information into practice. If we want results in anything in life, we have to take action in order to see the results we desire.
The Fastest Way to Lose Weight
If you are looking for the most effective and quickest way on how to lose weight, you need to start considering what you are eating. Like they say “You are what you eat” and it’s really true. Your body integrates whatever you consume. So if you are eating foods that contain millions of fat cells, toxins, and harmful chemicals, do you really expect your body to thrive in this environment? Do you expect your body to improve even after hours of physical exercise? Of course not, but this is what we are putting ourselves through 3 times a day and we are making it difficult for our bodies to improve.
Now, you may think the food you are eating is the best diet to lose weight fast because you may have learned about it in school – or heard about it on the news/media. But if you are eating animal products, just like the majority of people around the world, then this is actually a huge factor holding you back from losing weight. For instance, in the U.S where their diet consists almost completely of animal products, 69% of adults are either overweight or obese! The reason for this is, unlike fruits and vegetables, animal products like meat, dairy, and eggs contain saturated fats, trans fats and cholesterol.
Consuming Animal Products Increases Your Chances Of Weight Gain
There have been many studies over the years that have displayed the weight loss benefits of a plant-based diet, in contrast to a diet consisting of animal products. A review of over 12 studies, consisting of over 1,100 people found that those assigned with plant-based diets lost significantly more weight (4.5 pounds or 2kg) over an 18 week period in comparison to those assigned with a non-plant-based diet.
Not only will eating animal products greatly reduce your weight loss and even cause excessive weight gain, but eating animal products has also been scientifically proven to cause a number of chronic diseases! Don’t believe me? Let me explain. The ‘World Health Organisation‘ has classified processed meats as a class 1 carcinogen, which is in the same category as smoking for causing cancer!
And it’s not only processed meats, even “organic“, “fresh“, “grass-fed” meats have the same harmful potential. The fact that an animal is fed organic grass during their life does not change the fact that the meat still contains all the disease-causing substances which negatively impact our health. Read our previous blog to learn more about how animal products affect our health.

Foods to Eat to Lose Weight
Like most people who have just heard of this information, you may be confused and worried thinking “What can I eat? What can’t I eat?”. Honestly, it’s very simple! It’s understandable that checking the labels for every single packet of food is a lot of work. But lately, this tedious necessity has become less and less needed through the introduction of thousands of vegan foods. Next time you go shopping, it is very likely that a vegan substitute for your favourite food will be available. Whether it be ice cream, chocolate or even vegan meat!
“Vegan Junk-food” is a great way to fight those old addictions and transition to a superior plant-based diet. It is also much healthier than traditional junk-food that consists of animal products, but keep in mind that it is not the best diet to lose weight. The most effective weight loss foods are plant-based whole foods, such as lentils or broccoli. So instead, you can eat delicious, nutritious and healthy whole plant-based meals using countless free online recipes out there. This is much more effective and recommended for quick weight loss.
A study in 65 overweight and obese adults found that those assigned to a WFPB (whole foods plant-based) diet lost significantly more weight (9.25 pound or 4.2kg) than the control group. In addition, when you consume whole foods you avoid processed foods like candy, soda, and refined sugar. Not consuming these “foods” helps your body more effectively lose weight and shortens the time between you and your weight loss goal!

Workouts to Lose Weight
Along with eating the right foods, exercising with the right fitness gear can definitely help you lose weight faster. Contrary to popular belief, working out is not the most important factor for weight loss. There are many people who have lost significant weight and maintained it with a plant-based diet and minimal exercise. Now, I’m not suggesting that you avoid physical movement altogether. It should just be made clear that you cannot rely solely on exercise. If you do and neglect many other important aspects like eating the right foods, you will only see minimal results. The reason we are emphasising this point is that many people take the wrong approach to lose weight, as a result, they experience unnecessary struggles.
“But exercising seems really hard!”
Exercising is really not as complicated as it may seem. You can even work out in the comfort of your own home or at your local park. All you really need are a few essentials, such as a comfortable mat that is thick enough to provide a comfortable surface for your back. You will need soft, quality clothing such as a sports bra or a fitness top and some leggings if you are a female. If you are a male, you will need some joggers and a sports top. In addition to clothing, it is very important to have breathable sports shoes to avoid that unpleasant, damp and sweaty feel that you get after a long workout.
There are many different forms of fitness and various effective workouts to lose weight. There is not one best exercise to lose weight. Any form of fitness is beneficial for your weight loss. This is because when you move, you burn off calories and result in a caloric deficit. In general, cardio is particularly effective for burning calories, as opposed to weight training. Which is more effective for toning your body. If you do not know what cardio is, you can read our previous blog where we explain what cardio training is, the different forms of cardio training and the many benefits you can achieve from cardio training.
Walking for weight loss
Walking is one of the best cardio exercises because it is really easy and convenient. You can do it almost anywhere and you can start right away with no prior knowledge or experience. You might be saying to yourself “I don’t have time to walk, I’m too busy!” – well, there are some tips you can take to make the most of your time. For instance, don’t take public transport over short to medium distances, instead just walk in comfortable shoes! You will save money, plus you will reap the many amazing benefits of walking. Also, in your free time, you can take a hike, walk someone’s dog or even play a sport you love!
Some of the benefits of walking includes:
- increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness
- reduced risk of heart disease and stroke
- improved management of conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, joint, and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes
- stronger bones and improved balance
- increased muscle strength and endurance
- reduced body fat.
