Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Athelive (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information in connection with the operation of www.athelive.com

What information do we collect?

Like most website operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use our Site.

We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our blog or Site. Or if a visitor chooses to interact with our Site in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. You may, however, also visit our site anonymously by not taking part in any Site interaction.

The amount and type of information that we gather depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up to the Site to provide a username and email address. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Those who engage in transactions(making a purchase) at Athelive.com are asked to provide additional financial information required to process those transactions, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers which are safely encrypted via our secure payment gateway provider as described below), email address, and phone number.

In each case, we collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction. We do not disclose personally-identifying information with any other party as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

What do we use your information for?

We use the information you provide to us for the specific purposes for which you provide the information, as stated at the time of collection. For example, We use the Order Information that we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). The information we collect from you may also be used in the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience
(your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
  • To improve our website and your shopping experience
(we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)

  • To process transactions including executing your payments and delivering the purchased products or services requested.
  • To administer a contest, special promotion, survey, activity or other site feature.
  • To send periodic emails
The email address you provide for order processing may be used to send you important information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information, etc.

We use Stripe’s SSL (Secure-Socket-Layer) secure server software for processing online payments. When purchasing our products using your credit card, we ask for:

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, executing payments, delivering purchased products or services, sending you information or updates or otherwise servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

How long do we retain your information?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

When you engage in a transaction through the Site, we will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction or until you ask us to delete this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To protect the privacy and the security of your personal information, we may request information from you to enable us to confirm your identity and right to access such information, as well as to search for and provide you with the personal information we maintain.

How do we protect your information?

You are responsible for your own username and password safety and security on Athelive.com. We recommend choosing a strong password and changing it frequently. Please do not use the same login details (email and password) across multiple websites.

That said, we do implement a variety of security measures including offering the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Our servers and website are security scanned and fully verified externally by McAfee Secure from Symantec on a daily basis to protect you online.
